Mother Wit Magazine
“What? Me, Crunchy?” A self-examination of the type of mother I’m accepting that I am. What category of mother do you fall into?
“Unweaning Georgia” (Mothering/Jan.-Feb. 2009) … my experience of un-weaning my three-year old after the birth of my second child, all in order to regain an ounce of order in my life. PS…I did not provide that photo. Strollerderby picked up on the article and it was open season on my experience.
“Candles Not Required” (Mothering) … the story (or should I say saga?!) of how I came to the decision to birth at home.
“The System That Worked” (Midwifery Today/Spring 2010) … the story of my 7-hours postpartum hospital transport due to hemorrhage, after the birth of my son. (You will have to purchase the magazine to read the story, but I will be putting it on the blog in 2011.)
“Science and Sensibility” (Lamaze website and blog carnival/2010)…scroll waaaaayyyyy down and you’ll find me (keep scrolling)…two separate featured blogs….keep a’looking…I’m there at the second paragraph after video.
“Do it Yourself: The Home Birth Option” (Balanced Living/Spring 2008) … the story of why one might chose to have a home birth and what the advantages are. (This is a local publication and even I cannot find my story on its website…ahh well…).
